About the team

With access to state-of-the-art facilities, including the world's first GE Total Body PET/CT scanner, you'll be at the forefront of cancer imaging and theranostics.

Our team operates two digital PET/CT scanners and two SPECT/CT scanners and performs more than 11,000 PET scans and 900 radionuclide therapy treatments (RNT) each year including 20 active RNT trials. Nuclear Medicine Technologists are actively involved in clinical trials, novel imaging and therapeutic tracers, and translational research.

About the role

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Peter Mac, you will be supported by a dedicated clinical education team to build your skills across PET, Nuclear Medicine, radionuclide therapy, radiopharmaceutical preparation and administration, cold lab procedures and clinical trials. Opportunities also exist to participate in international collaborations, including a NMT exchange program with the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.

A regular day will see you:

• Perform a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures using state-of-the-art imaging technology
• Deliver safe, high-quality patient care while adhering to departmental protocols and best practice standards
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and the multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient service delivery and effective problem-solving
• Contribute to a supportive team environment by sharing your expertise, supporting less experienced staff and participating in ongoing quality improvement initiatives

About You

You are a motivated Nuclear Medicine Technologist who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and inspired by innovation, research and education. You enjoy working in a collaborative environment and contributing to the future of Nuclear Medicine practice.

You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a large multidisciplinary team.

You’ll bring with you:

• A Bachelor of Applied Science (Nuclear Medicine) - or equivalent
• A current Radiation use licence (or ability to gain one)
• APHRA Registration - MRPB
• A valid Working with Children Check or the ability to gain one
