About the Role

As a Broker Assistant/Trainee Broker, you'll work alongside experienced brokers to support and service a portfolio of clients while developing your technical and client relationship skills. You'll gain hands-on experience across a range of insurance products, while working towards becoming a broker.

Key Responsibilities 

• Provide office admin duties and support to brokers

• Assist brokers with managing client insurance and risk needs

• Prepare new business quotes, renewals, endorsements and cancellations

• Handle client and insurer enquiries by phone and email

• Process policies using insurer platforms and internal systems

• Prepare documentation and invoices accurately and on time  

• Claims admin support

What You'll Bring

Working as part of a team, the right candidate must display the following attributes, qualifications & experience:

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Customer service orientation in a professional services role and motivation to exceed client needs and expectations at all times

• Minimum 2 years experience in general insurance, insurance broking

• Tier 1 Insurance Broking Qualification preferred 

• A strong interest in progressing to a client-facing broker role

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• High attention to detail and strong time management

• High level of computer proficiency, including MS Office 365, experience with broking systems

• Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills

• Friendly disposition and natural empathetic nature

• Passionate and motivated self-starter with a positive 'can do' attitude
