The Opportunity 

RPM Hire is seeking a reliable and motivated Forklift Operator to join our NSW team! Reporting directly to the Workshop Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations and keeping our yard running safely and efficiently. This is a great opportunity for someone with a positive, can-do attitude who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys being part of a collaborative team.

 Role Overview

As a full-time Forklift Operator, you’ll ensure the safe and efficient movement of our traffic management equipment. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, maintaining stock levels in the yard, and assisting with the upkeep of our hire equipment, and delivering or collecting company assets when required.

When you’re not on the forklift, you’ll support the team by ensuring the yard remains organised, safe, and operationally ready for major projects across NSW. Success in this role comes from attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work safely alongside your teammates.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload trucks and utes as required
• Operate the forklift to move and organise hire equipment and water barriers
• Deliver and collect company assets and equipment when required
• Ensure assets and equipment are safely loaded and secured for transport
• Maintain a tidy, safe, and organised yard environment
• Monitor and manage equipment stock levels in collaboration with the operations team
• Assist the Returns Coordinator with equipment inspections and damage reporting
• Follow correct safety procedures and company processes at all times

What You Will Bring

• Current driver’s licence and forklift licence with proven operating experience
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability
• Ability to work safely with a strong focus on WHS standards
• Clear communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Positive, motivated, and hands-on approach to tasks
