About the role

TerryWhite Pharmacy Prahran is seeking an experienced and committed Pharmacist to join our team in Prahran, Victoria. This is a full-time position based at our pharmacy location in Prahran VIC 3181. As a Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care to our community, ensuring patient safety and wellbeing whilst maintaining professional standards and regulatory compliance.

This is a great opportunity for a pharmacist interested in developing their experience within the medical cannabis space while working as part of a supportive and professional pharmacy team.

Key responsibilities

• Dispensing prescription medicines, including medical cannabis products

• Preparing and dispensing medical cannabis prescriptions accurately and efficiently

• Supporting the day-to-day operation of our medical cannabis department

• Providing professional counselling and advice to patients

• Ensuring all dispensing is completed in accordance with relevant legislation and pharmacy procedures

• Working closely with our pharmacy team to provide a high level of patient care

What we're looking for

• A valid Australian pharmacy qualification and registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia

• Current professional indemnity insurance as required by regulatory bodies

• Comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceutical products, therapeutic uses and contraindications

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with patients, healthcare professionals and team members

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all pharmacy operations

• Proficiency in pharmacy management software and computer systems

• A patient-centred approach with a commitment to delivering quality care and customer service

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy pharmacy environment

• Knowledge of current pharmaceutical and healthcare trends, including evidence-based practice

• Previous medical cannabis experience is desirable but not essential, as training and support will be provided.
