Applicants can expect to join a stable, long-standing company that values precision, reliability, and pride in workmanship.Role Description The Design Drafter is a full-time, on-site role based in Botany, NSW. This role involves preparing detailed technical, engineering, and architectural drawings for custom cabinetry, joinery, and furniture projects. The Design Drafter will translate design concepts and client requirements into accurate CAD models and production-ready documentation and optimizing ready for the CNC and workshop. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with designers and workshop teams, updating and revising drawings, checking measurements, and ensuring drawings align with project specifications and manufacturing standards. The role also includes maintaining drawing files, supporting project planning with clear documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement of drafting practices. Qualifications
Strong technical drawing skills, including precision Drawing and interpretation of design specifications.Must be capable in MicrovellumAbility to create and read Engineering Drawings for manufacturing and construction purposes.Experience producing Architectural Drawings for interior fit-outs, cabinetry, and joinery layouts.Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software relevant to joinery, furniture, or interior design drafting.Relevant qualification in drafting, design, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Attention to detail, accuracy in measurements, and strong spatial and technical reasoning.Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with designers, tradespeople, and project managers.Experience in joinery, furniture manufacturing, or interiors is highly advantageous.Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing project requirements.
