Bus Driver / Utility - Remote (5236)

About the Role: 

We are currently seeking a Bus Driver / Utility to join our operations team at Ernest Henry Mine (EHM). This is a Drive-In/Drive-Out (DIDO) or Fly In/Fly Out (FIFO) role with preferred points of hire including Mount Isa, Cloncurry, Brisbane, Cairns, and Townsville.

This is a swing roster of 14 days on / 7 days off, working split day shifts, with 10-hour workdays.

Key Responsibilities:

Bus Driver

• Safe and reliable transport of personnel to and from site locations
• Assisting with general utility duties across site including cleaning, basic maintenance, and support services
• Adhering to all safety and operational procedures
• Delivering high levels of customer service to site staff and visitors

       Utility

• Setting up and clearing dining rooms
• Dishwashing and cleaning of the kitchen, equipment & dining areas
• Maintaining legislated food hygiene and safety practices
• Fast, effective service throughout busy periods - with a good attitude
• Assisting the broader team as required
• Preparing and presenting texture-modified foods
• Dining Room Duties - maintain cleanliness, stock and crib food levels
• Housekeeping Duties - room and ensuite cleaning, making beds (if needed)
• Common Area Cleaning - emptying bins, sweeping, mopping, general cleaning
• Mine Site Cleaning - cleaning offices, crib huts, bathhouses​​

  Ideal Applicant:

• Medium Rigid Manual Driver's License (mandatory)
• Experience working as a Bus Driver 12 months +
• Experience working as a Utility/ Utility All Rounder/Cleaner/Housekeeper/Kitchen Hand 12 months +
• A strong commitment to safety and teamwork
• Previous experience in remote site work or mining services (desirable)
• Flexibility and willingness to undertake utility tasks as required
• Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident
