We are seeking a talented Senior Estimator (SMP) to join our team. You will be working on a mix of maintenance & construction projects nationally with a focus on structural integrity. This is a permanent role offering a fabulous career pathway with a rapidly growing global business. This position will be based in our offices in the Perth CBD.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Estimation & Procurement:Accurately estimate all project costs (Labor, materials, equipment, mobilization/demobilization).Obtain and analyze vendor quotes for materials and services.Perform material take-offs and compile detailed cost documentation.
Risk, Opportunity, & Schedule Management:Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.Analyse project schedules to identify opportunities for optimization.
Tender Preparation & Compliance:Prepare and review tender clarifications and requests for information.Thoroughly review tender documents for scope, terms, and conditions.Adhere to quality management system procedures and work instructions.Collaborate with peers to develop competitive proposals.Lead internal tender review presentations and obtain approvals.Prepare professional tender submissions compliant with client and company requirements.
About YouMin. 5yrs exp in an estimating role working on large-scale SMP projects execution in Mining, Engineering, heavy Construction industries, supported by a verifiable record of successful outcomes.A background in a Mechanical Trade (essential) or a Mechanical Engineer with site experience Estimating experience with first principal build-up of resource hoursStrong MS Office particularly, Excel and MS ProjectsExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage confidentlyStrong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential to accurately assess costs and project requirements
