We have outstanding opportunity for a highly experienced ACCEPTANCE ENGINEER. Position available in Vic, Qld, WA, and NSW. Role Overview The Acceptance Engineer works under the direction of the Acceptance Lead to support the successful acceptance, handover, and integration of new and upgraded network assets into Telstra’s operational environment.
The role is responsible for ensuring all documentation, as-built records, and asset data are accurate, compliant, and correctly uploaded into Telstra’s DBoR systems in accordance with program and governance requirements. KEY RESPONSIBILITY ACCEPTANCE & HANDOVER
Support the Acceptance Lead in managing the end-to-end acceptance process for Telstra network assets. Review and validate construction completion packs, ensuring readiness for acceptance and operational handover. Facilitate the smooth transition of assets from delivery teams into Telstra operational ownership.
DOCUMENTATION & AS-BUILTS Ensure all project documentation, including as-built drawings, design updates, and asset data, is accurate, complete, and compliant. Upload and validate as-built information within Telstra’s DBoR systems upon project completion.
Maintain document version control and ensure alignment between physical assets and system records. DBoR SYSTEM MANAGEMENT Create, update, and validate asset records using Telstra’s legacy and current DBoR platforms, including: IDEAL, CANRAD, Structure Builder, MITS, RODS, RFNSA, CADlink, Multiman, CRAMER, TPD, WHISPER, TCSS, NETMAPS, WidePlan, Widefeas, CMART, and TRAC.
Resolve data discrepancies and support data quality audits as required by the program. STAKEHOLDER COORDINATION Work closely with the Acceptance Lead, internal Telstra teams, delivery partners, and external contractors to coordinate acceptance activities.
Support issue resolution relating to site access, design compliance, documentation gaps, and system data conflicts. Act as a key interface between construction, design, and operational teams during acceptance and handover. COMPLIANCE & GOVERNANCE
Ensure all works comply with Telstra design guidelines, relevant Australian Standards, and WHS/safety requirements. Support program governance by ensuring acceptance processes align with Telstra policies and audit requirements. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives across acceptance and handover processes.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS Experience working in network acceptance, handover, or asset management roles within Telstra or similar telecommunications environments. Strong working knowledge of Telstra DBoR systems and acceptance workflows.
Ability to interpret engineering designs, construction drawings, and as-built documentation. Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills. High attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and compliance.
