Working hours: 4 hours per day

Through our resource recovery and waste management facilities, including the Paget Waste Facility, we support employment and skill development while contributing to environmental sustainability. For every 150 tonnes of waste we recover, we create one job for the local community!

About the role

As a Transfer Deck Attendant at the Paget Waste Facility, your responsibilities include:

• Offer customers a unique shopping experience
• Manage inventory for resale
• Handling cash and processing EFT transactions.
• Providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with waste disposal and recycling inquiries.
• Help break down unsaleable items to maximise material recovery
• Maintaining site safety and ensuring compliance with environmental and operational procedures.

What we’re looking for

• Basic computer skills
• Friendly personality with excellent customer service and communication skills.
• A commitment to safety, teamwork, and following operational procedures.
• Experience in waste management, transport, or logistics is desirable but not essential.
• Full training provided for the right candidate.
• A passion for sustainability, recycling, and environmental responsibility.
