Programmed are currently seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator to join our client, a leading cotton company based in Wee Waa, NSW.

About The Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Metal Fabricator to join the maintenance and engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fabricator looking for a stable role with a reputable organisation, working across a range of plant, equipment and infrastructure projects.

The role will involve fabricating, assembling, repairing and installing metal components used throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawingsCut, weld, shape and assemble structural and sheet metal componentsFabricate and install frames, supports and plant equipmentModify, repair and maintain existing metal structures and equipmentAssist with maintenance, upgrades and improvement projectsEnsure all work is completed to a high standard of quality and accuracyFollow all workplace health, safety and environmental requirementsMaintain a clean, safe and organised work area

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

Trade qualification in Metal Fabrication, Boilermaking or WeldingProven experience in industrial, manufacturing or plant fabricationProficiency in MIG, TIG and/or stick weldingAbility to read and interpret technical and engineering drawingsExperience working with structural steel and sheet metalStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityA strong commitment to workplace health and safetyAbility to work independently and as part of a team
