Role Description

The Co-Founder & CTO will lead the technical vision, architecture, and implementation of Fluxium AI’s fintech products while collaborating closely with the founding team on strategy and execution. This full-time, hybrid role is based in Sydney, NSW, with a mix of in-office collaboration and work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and overseeing system architecture, making key technology stack decisions, and building and managing an early engineering team. The role will involve hands-on coding, reviewing technical designs, setting development standards, and ensuring scalability, security, and reliability of the platform. The Co-Founder & CTO will work with product and business stakeholders to translate user and market needs into technical roadmaps, support fundraising and investor discussions with technical insights, and help establish a strong engineering culture grounded in quality, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Strong analytical skills, including the ability to break down complex technical and financial problems and make data-informed decisions.Excellent communication skills for collaborating with co-founders, engineers, investors, and customers, and for explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.Sales-related capabilities such as supporting technical due diligence, contributing to customer pitches, and articulating product value from a technology perspective.Marketing awareness, including partnering on product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies for AI-driven fintech solutions.Research skills to stay current with AI, machine learning, and fintech trends, assess new technologies, and inform long-term technical strategy.Proven experience leading engineering teams and shipping production-grade software, ideally in fintech, AI, or data-intensive products.Deep knowledge of modern software development practices, cloud infrastructure, security best practices, and scalable architectures.Hands-on proficiency with relevant programming languages and frameworks (for example, Python, TypeScript, modern web frameworks, and ML libraries).Background in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.Entrepreneurial mindset, comfort with ambiguity, and willingness to take ownership as
