About the role:

• Advise on liability, and approach to matters, with exposure to both straightforward and more complex claims.
• Work across matters involving orthopaedic injuries, psychological injury claims, neurological injuries, brain injury claims, catastrophic injuries and related workplace disputes.
• Draft advice, correspondence and court documents, liaise with clients and contribute to the progression of matters from start to resolution.
• Build strong technical skills in a team that gives junior lawyers meaningful responsibility, while still providing proper guidance and support.

The ideal candidate:

• 1+ years' PQE in workers’ compensation, defendant insurance or a closely related litigation practice.
• Experience advising on liability, quantum and litigation strategy.
• Strong drafting, research and communication skills, with good attention to detail.
• Commercial, proactive and personable, with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
• An individual who is motivated to develop a long-term career in defendant insurance and workers compensation.
