Sales Representative – Electrical & Lighting

Are you an experienced Electrical Sales professional looking for an opportunity to work across larger projects and develop your career within the commercial construction industry?

Our client is a well-established and highly regarded WA lighting business, supplying premium architectural and commercial lighting solutions across a range of exciting projects.

If you have solid electrical industry experience, perhaps an electrical wholesale background, or experience selling broader electrical products, and you enjoy field based sales and being out on-site with customers, we'd love to hear from you.

About the role

This is a customer-facing sales role with a strong project focus. You'll develop relationships, identify opportunities and work with customers throughout the project lifecycle.

You'll be working with:

• Electrical contractors and wholesalers
• Architects and designers
• Engineers and consultants
• Builders and project stakeholders
• Commercial end users

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships
• Identifying new project and sales opportunities
• Following projects from initial opportunity through to completion
• Working with customers to understand project requirements
• Providing product information and technical support
• Preparing quotations and following up opportunities
• Assisting with product selection and specifications
• Conducting customer meetings, presentations and site visits
• Working closely with the internal design and technical team
• Managing your pipeline and keeping opportunities moving

What we're looking for

We're particularly interested in people with experience in electrical sales, including:

• Electrical Sales Representative
• Electrical wholesale Branch/Assistant Manager
• Electrical wholesale – external/project sales
• Broader electrical sales experience i.e Switches, Conduits, Instrumentation or Components etc
• Senior project management/BD experience in electrical contracting

You may currently be selling electrical products through a wholesaler, working for an electrical manufacturer, or selling electrical products into the commercial construction industry.

Lighting experience is advantageous but not essential.

What's important is that you're commercially minded, confident dealing with customers and able to build relationships across a project.

You'll ideally have experience working with electrical contractors, wholesalers, consultants, engineers or commercial construction projects.
