Crack the case of great company—one visit at a time!

If you’ve been thinking about finding a meaningful way to connect with others and give back in your community, this visit could be just what you’re looking for.

Spend time with a lovely elderly lady who enjoys conversation and companionship. She has a creative spirit and finds joy in the little things — sketching, reading, and unwinding with a good British drama or a classic murder mystery.

One hour visits each week or fortnight — whatever feels right for you
Flexible timing between 9am and 5pm to suit your day
Available any day from Monday to Sunday, centred around your availability
No special skills needed — just a genuine love of connecting with others

This is an opportunity to slow down, to listen, and to bring a sense of warmth into someone’s week — while discovering just how meaningful that hour can be for you as well.

If you enjoy creativity, engaging conversation, and the charm of a good mystery, you may find this to be one of the most rewarding visits you make.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements

18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare •

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
