Office Manager/Bookeeper - Site Surveys, Kedron Brisbane

About the role

You would be the first point of contact for the business and the person who keeps a job moving from first enquiry through to a paid invoice. You would work directly with the business owner and with the two surveyors who lead our design and boundary survey teams.

Key responsibilities

• Handling client enquiries by phone and email, and preparing quotes

• Setting up new jobs and coordinating with our two survey teams

• Invoicing, accounts receivable and accounts payable

• Payroll

• Working with our external accountant

• General office administration

About you

• Demonstrated experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll

• Xero, or a comparable accounting package

• Confident written and verbal communication — you will be talking to clients every day

• Accuracy, and the judgement to know when to ask rather than assume

• Comfortable working independently and following a process properly

• Experience in surveying, construction or building, or an architectural or design practice (highly regarded)

• Availability to start by late October at the latest, so there is time for a full handover.

Salary

$75,000 - $85,000 depending on experience, plus superannuation

A stable, long-established business with a small team and very little turnover. The work is varied, the systems are well documented, and you will be trusted to run the office rather than managed closely.
