About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced fixed plant Mechanical Tradesperson to join our team at Newcastle Agri Terminal, Carrington NSW.

This full-time position requires a flexible and proactive individual capable of performing a variety of mechanical tasks. The successful candidate will participate in a rotating shift roster Monday to Friday and be available for weekend work when required.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

• Mechanical Fitter trade qualification
• Experience in Industrial installation and fault-finding
• Previous experience in heavy industry
• Experience with conveyor belt systems and associated equipment
• familiarisation with electrical equipment in hazardous areas
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
• Strong focus to safety, problem-solving and decision making

Desirable (but not essential) Qualifications:

• Previous experience in the grain industry or similar materials handling environment
• MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card)
• EWP over 11 metres
• Confined Space entry qualifications
• RISI (Rail industry safety induction)
• Forklift license
• Telehandler operations
• Front End Loader operations
• Rigger or dogman qualifications
