Accounts Receivable Team Leader

Seeking Experienced AR Team Leader | National Retail & E-Commerce

Are you a Senior AR Officer or Credit Team Leader who loves coaching others, solving complex accounts, and making workflows run smoother?

We are a rapidly growing national retail and trade supply business based at our Head Office. With expanding physical stores and online sales, our finance team is scaling up and we need a hands on Accounts Receivable Team Leader to run our day to day credit operations.

The Opportunity

You will guide and mentor a close knit team of 7 AR specialists while keeping your skills sharp on our largest, most complex accounts. We want someone who naturally looks for smarter ways to work, whether that’s modernising old procedures, introducing system efficiencies, or tightening up collections.

• Base Location: Brand new modern office in Sydney's South West with free on site parking
• Hours & Structure: Full-time, permanent role (Monday–Friday, standard 9–5 hours)

What you'll be doing

• Leading the Team: Mentor, support, and train 7 AR officers; balance workloads and build a positive, supportive culture.
• Streamlining Operations: Spot bottlenecks, modernise daily workflows, and optimize our overall credit control systems.
• Managing Complex Accounts: Personally handle high value key accounts, reconcile difficult ledgers, and jump on the phone to resolve escalated issues.
• Month End & Financial Control: Oversee bank reconciliations, assist with month end reporting, and ensure data accuracy across the board.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven Background: Solid experience as an AR Team Leader, Senior AR Officer, or Senior Credit Controller (ideally within retail, trade supply, or wholesale).
• Efficiency Mindset: Demonstrated ability to streamline processes and maximise software/Excel capabilities.
• Hands on Approach: High confidence picking up the phone, negotiating outcomes, and tackling complex ledger discrepancies.
• Strong Communication: A collaborative leadership style combined with high attention to detail.
