Step Into ICU Leadership at Princess Alexandra Hospital
Join the Intensive Care Unit at Princess Alexandra Hospital as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager and help lead a highly skilled team delivering complex, patient-centred care. This role is Temporary part time 64hrs per fortnight, up to 12 months.

Your new role:
As An Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM), You'll Work Alongside The NUM And Senior Nursing Team To Provide Clinical And Operational Leadership Within One Of Australia's Leading Adult Tertiary ICUs. You Will
Lead and coordinate the nursing team, allocate staff and resources, and respond to changing patient acuity and service demandsProvide advanced clinical leadership and promote safe, evidence-based and person-centred patient careMentor, coach and support nurses through education, professional development, preceptorship and role modellingContribute to quality improvement, clinical governance, research, audits and service innovation across the ICU
About You
You're an experienced ICU nurse ready to take the next step into leadership. You bring advanced clinical judgement, strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to developing people and improving patient care. You will have:
An advanced ICU expertise with strong clinical knowledge, skills and experience in complex intensive care nursingConfident clinical leadership with strong delegation, problem-solving, prioritisation and coordination skillsA passion for mentoring, education, teamwork and creating a positive professional practice environmentA quality and improvement mindset with the ability to translate evidence into practice and contribute to safe, sustainable improvements

About Us
The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.
We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.
We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
