Advanced Hearing is an independent, family-owned organisation with over 25 years of experience providing hearing and audiology services to the Victorian community.
We are proud of our friendly and personalised approach and our commitment to providing professional care tailored to each patient's individual needs. As an independent practice, we have access to the latest technology from a range of hearing aid manufacturers, allowing our audiologists to recommend the most appropriate solutions for their patients.
We provide a range of hearing and audiology services to people of all ages and are looking for Audiologists to join our growing team.
The Opportunity
We currently have opportunities available for both full-time and part-time Audiologists.
The role will primarily involve working across our clinic locations throughout metropolitan Melbourne, with occasional travel to regional Victorian locations.
What You'll Be Doing
As an Audiologist at Advanced Hearing, you will provide high-quality audiological care to a diverse range of patients through Medicare, HSP, DVA and private services, supporting them throughout their hearing journey.
Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting hearing assessments and providing appropriate recommendations
Diagnosing and assisting with a range of hearing needs
Providing personalised hearing and communication solutions
Fitting, adjusting and fine-tuning hearing aids and other hearing devices
Providing ongoing support, advice and education to patients
Working with and assisting patients of all ages
Pediatrics will include diagnostic hearing tests from 9 months of age, including VRA and play audiometry
Maintaining accurate patient records
Building positive and trusting relationships with patients and their families
Working collaboratively with the wider Advanced Hearing team, including administration and other audiologists
Liaising with ENT specialists, including conducting diagnostic hearing assessments and providing professional audiological advice
What We're Looking For
We are looking for Audiologists who are professional, approachable and passionate about delivering excellent care and outcomes for their patients.
To be considered for this role, you will have:
Relevant qualifications in Audiology
A current QP number (ACAud or Audiology Australia)
Comfortable working with both paediatric and adult clients
A current Australian driver's licence and the ability to travel between clinic locations when required
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
A commitment to providing high-quality, patient-focused care
Encouraged but not essential
Experience in cerumen management
Experience with collaborating with ENT specialists
Experience in tinnitus assessment, diagnostics and rehabilitation
Experience in vestibular assessment and other inner ear investigations
