About the Role

Beveridge Williams is seeking a dedicated and motivated Civil Labourer to join our growing Subsurface Utility Investigation (SUI) team. This full-time position plays a vital role in supporting our utility investigations and survey operations across a range of infrastructure and development projects. Working alongside experienced utility locators, surveyors, and field technicians, you will assist with field activities and contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality utility investigation services.

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide general labouring support to utility investigation and survey teams.
• Operate a range of hand and power tools, including demolition saws, jackhammers, compactors, and other equipment required for site preparation and utility investigation works.
• Safely transport, handle, and maintain equipment and materials.
• Operate and drive company vehicles in accordance with licence requirements and company procedures.
• Assist with the identification, locating, and marking of underground utility services.
• Support vacuum excavation and utility exposure activities as required.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
• Adhere to all workplace health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
• Assist with other field and operational duties as required.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a labouring, civil construction, or general construction role.
• Experience using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Minimum Medium Rigid (MR) Driver Licence (essential).
• Construction Industry White Card (essential).
• Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks in outdoor environments.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
• A strong commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Experience within civil construction, utility locating, surveying, vacuum excavation, or related industries is advantageous but not essential.
