Front Office Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Front Office Manager to join our two 5-star DOMA Properties. This hands-on role will oversee both Hotel Realm and its sister property, Burbury Apartments.

About the role

The Front Office Manager is expected to lead the team, acting as a role model for all staff whilst upholding DOMA Hotels service standards. Additionally, our leading focus is creating a positive guest experience for their whole stay and beyond by establishing surprising and memorable experiences for our guests.

The Front Office Manager is responsible for:

• Leading the operation of service excellence in the hotel

• Responsible for overall guest experience and implementation of strategies to improve customer satisfaction

• Overseeing the implementation of Doma Hotels policies and procedures

• Completing operational admin tasks including but not limited to rostering and payroll

• Cover Duty Manager shifts when needed and will regularly be required to work evenings and weekends according to business demands

• Liaising with contractors and other stakeholders.

• Mentor and training of the Front Office Team.

• Participate in recruitment and building of the team.

About you:

• Leadership skills with an ability to relate to, communicate with, and motivate employees to sustain high performance and service standards

• A vibrant personality with a positive attitude and a passion for creating special little moments for guests

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role

• Food & Beverage experience – not necessary

• Thorough understanding of IT applications: i.e., Microsoft suite 

• Previous experience in Opera Cloud or a similar hotel management platform is preferred, though not essential

• Decision making skills in a fast paced, high pressure environment

• Business acumen and understanding of budgeting and rostering.

• Current training & certificates: RSA, First Aid and Fire Warden (ongoing fire warden training will be provided)
