New Haven Farm Home are seeking reliable and committed Casual Disability Support Workers with flexible availability across a 24/7 roster (8 hour, 6 hour and 4 hour shifts).
Availability for active overnight shifts is highly desirable and applicants with strong overnight availability will be prioritised throughout the recruitment process.
SCHADS Award rates apply, including penalty rates, weekend rates, public holiday rates and applicable allowances.

All support workers are required to perform the full range of duties associated with the position and cannot opt out of specific tasks.
The Role
As a SIL Disability Support Worker, you will provide practical, personal and emotional support to people with disability to help them live as independently as possible.
This is a hands-on support role and all employees are required to complete all aspects of the position. Applicants must be willing and able to perform all duties listed below. This position is not suitable for applicants seeking to undertake only selected duties. Before applying, please ensure you are comfortable with:
- Personal care – including showering, toileting, dressing, shaving, brushing teeth and catheter care.
- Household tasks – including cooking, preparing meals and lunches, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens and common areas, washing, changing sheets
- Transporting clients to appointments and community activities using company vehicles.
- Community participation activities and engaging clients in meaningful activities that promote skill development and independence.
- Engaging in meaningful conversations and participating in client meetings.
- Administering medication strictly following company procedures and processes.
- Accurate documentation is a critical requirement of this role. All staff are required to complete detailed digital journal notes, incident reports, medication records, shift handovers and other documentation using our internal systems. Strong written communication and attention to detail are essential.
Specific duties for active overnight shifts (11:00pm – 7:00am):
- Active overnight shifts are awake shifts. Staff are required to remain awake for the full duration of the shift.
- Provide overnight monitoring and responsive support tailored to individual care plans.
- Assist with bedtime and early morning routines including but not limited to personal care, medication, dressing, cleaning of home and preparation for the following day, including planning and organisation.
- Respond to emergencies as per process and complete all documentation required whilst on shift.
- Complete administration tasks such as scanning, uploading and obsoleting documentation according to company policies and procedures.

Essential
- Flexible availability, including active overnight shifts, afternoon shifts and weekends.
- This role requires employees to be physically capable of assisting with personal care activities, standing and walking for extended periods, completing household tasks, supporting clients during community activities and responding appropriately during emergencies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the demonstrated ability to complete accurate, detailed and professional written documentation.
- Confident computer skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- A current Australian Driver Licence.
- Full Australian working rights.
Highly Regarded
- You live locally, within a 40 minute commute.
- Previous experience in disability support, aged care or a related field.
- Relevant Certificate III, Certificate IV or other TAFE qualifications.
Required (or Willingness to Obtain)
- NSW NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Working with Children Check.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.

You will also be required to complete a pre-employment medical check which is arranged by New Haven Farm Home.
- Documentation is then sent for final approval. Once approved, buddy shifts will be scheduled and all onboarding documentation will be required, including your NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, evidence of working rights, and First Aid and CPR certification.
