Grace Village ELC
About the role
We’re Not Hiring Everyone.
We’re Inviting the Few Who Are Ready.
At Grace Village Early Learning, we don’t operate like a typical childcare service. We are striving for excellence in early childhood education, and we are seeking a select few educators and leaders who want more than a role. We are inviting people who are ready to make a career-defining decision: to step into a space where excellence is expected, growth is supported and purpose is clear. If you are looking for just a job, this may not be the place for you. But if you are ready to invest in a career that will shape your future and positively influence the lives of children for generations, you may have found your village.
Who We Are
Grace Village EL is an intentional early learning community where:
Our curriculum is inspired by theorists, honouring the child as capable and the educator as co-constructor.
Families are part of the journey through our signature Third Place offering - a daily space of pause, connection and care.
We are uncompromising in our standards.
We are deeply committed to our craft.
We are relentless in our pursuit of something better - for children, families and our profession. Child Safety Is Not Negotiable At Grace Village Early Learning, every child has the right to be safe and feel safe. We are unwavering in our commitment to the safety, wellbeing, rights and best interests of every child in our care. The safety, rights and best interests of children are the paramount consideration in every decision and action we make. Children come first always.
To keep children safe, we commit to:
Implementing the 10 Child Safe Standards.
Promoting a culture where children’s safety, rights and best interests guide every decision.
Providing a safe, supportive, inclusive and respectful environment for all children.
Ensuring children are not exposed to harmful conduct, abuse, neglect or avoidable hazards. Empowering children to participate in decisions that affect them and to share concerns.
Ensuring children know who they can approach if they feel unsafe or have a concern.
Ensuring no child is subjected to inappropriate conduct.
Educating everyone involved in our service about child safety, child-protection law and how to prevent, detect and respond to concerns.
Responding appropriately to complaints, allegations, disclosures and breaches of our Child Safe Code of Conduct.
Welcoming feedback so we can continuously improve our child-safe culture, policies and practices.
Ensuring families, visitors, contractors and community members understand that child safety is everyone’s responsibility. Children’s images and videos are stored securely and may only be taken, stored or transferred using service-supplied and authorised devices. Personal devices capable of taking, storing or transferring images or videos are not permitted while working directly with children, except where expressly authorised under service procedure. We recruit carefully. Every appointment is subject to rigorous child-safety screening, including Working with Children Check verification, reference checks, qualification checks and other lawful pre-employment requirements. If you are not prepared to place children’s safety, rights and wellbeing above convenience, routine or personal preference, please do not apply.

Child safety is our highest priority. Describe a time when you observed, suspected, or became concerned that a child may have been at risk of harm or inappropriate behaviour by an adult or another child. What immediate actions did you take, how did you ensure the child’s safety, who did you report it to, and why?
Please note: We are looking for applicants who demonstrate a clear understanding that every adult has a responsibility to act immediately, report concerns through the appropriate child protection processes, and always place the safety and wellbeing of children above the interests of colleagues, families, or the organisation. Failure to act or report concerns is inconsistent with our child safe culture.
