Finance Specialist, Melbourne Airport

The opportunity

Delaware North Australia is hiring a full-time Finance Officer/Specialist to support operations at Melbourne Airport. As Finance Officer/Specialist, you will deliver accurate and timely financial processing across invoicing, receipting, revenue reconciliations and debtor management, supporting strong controls and key deadlines.

What will you do?

• Process and reconcile weekly site revenue, maintaining accurate balance sheet and accounts receivable reconciliations
• Prepare, issue and reconcile customer invoices, manage receipting and debtor accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Monitor aged receivables, follow up overdue payments and escalate high-risk accounts as required
• Conduct supplier and customer account reconciliations and investigate variances through to resolution
• Assist with monthly financial reporting while maintaining audit-ready documentation and compliance with internal policies and external standards
• Partner with operations and the finance team to improve processes, communicate updates clearly, and meet business deadlines

More about you

• Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Experience in accounts receivable and end-to-end invoicing and collections
• Familiarity with financial systems and POS platforms, with hospitality or events experience desirable
• Strong attention to detail, initiative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Solid financial acumen and clear communication skills with both internal teams and external stakeholders
• High level of confidentiality and aligns with Delaware North values and behaviours
