Australian Energy Market Operator
About the role
Division: Finance & Governance
Department: Enterprise Portfolio Office
Reference number: 13249
Engagement type: Fixed Term Contract
AEMO at the Heart of Energy
AEMO is Australia’s independent energy system and market operator and system planner. AEMO’s purpose is to ensure safe, reliable and affordable energy today, and enable the energy transition for the benefit of all Australians. Australian governments are now committed to a net zero economy for Australia by 2050 and our vision is to enable this. We have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to co-design the future of our energy systems, and our core values revolve around character, commitment, and connection. Join us as we contribute to this significant transition in the energy sector.
About the role
As a Change Manager within AEMO's Enterprise Change Practice, you will support the delivery of critical initiatives within the Western Australia (WA) Portfolio that are helping shape a secure, reliable, affordable and lower-emissions energy future for Western Australians. Working within a matrix environment and reporting to the Portfolio Change Manager, you will lead end-to-end change management activities across complex market reform, operational and technology initiatives, that support the evolution of WA’s energy systems and markets. This includes key programs such as the Reserve Capacity Mechanism (RCM) and Distributed Energy Resources (DER) integration.
Partnering with project teams, business and technical stakeholders, you will develop and deliver change strategies, stakeholder engagement, communications, training and business readiness activities that enable successful adoption, support stakeholder preparedness and drive the realisation of project benefits. This role is ideal for an experienced Change Management professional who can operate independently, influence diverse stakeholder groups and deliver high-quality change outcomes in a dynamic and highly technical environment.
This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract position.
