Director of Revenue

This role is instrumental in ensuring the Health Service maximises its revenue generation activities and has effective and efficient systems of internal financial controls.

The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Director of Revenue to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

• Manage the financial and operational processes performed by the revenue teams that support the generation, billing and receipting of revenue
• Provide leadership and direction for revenue activities
• Lead in the development and maintenance of policies, processes and procedures to ensure effective and efficient processes are in place to support revenue generation
• Engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• Whilst not mandatory, a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as Business, Finance or Commerce would be highly regarded
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

• Temporary full time (3 months, with the possibility of extension)
• Base salary ranging from $5,986.60 - $6,334.60 per fortnight

Be part of the senior management team within the Financial Control unit of the Financial Services Division. This role will develop and implement revenue initiatives for the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service that will optimise revenue collections; and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of administrative processes associated with private practice and revenue.
