About the role

We are seeking a talented Geospatial Analyst to join our growing Geospatial team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced GIS professional who is passionate about spatial data, automation, environmental applications and delivering high-quality mapping solutions that influence real-world outcomes.
Reporting to the Manager of Geospatial, you will deliver spatial analysis, mapping products and GIS support across a diverse range of environmental and resource-sector projects. You'll work closely with ecologists, environmental scientists, geologists and project managers to provide spatial insights that support decision-making and project delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing and maintaining spatial datasets from multiple sources
Conducting advanced spatial analysis and modelling
Producing high-quality maps and cartographic outputs
Supporting environmental, ecological, mining and rehabilitation projects
Developing automated GIS workflows and tools
Managing spatial databases and enterprise GIS environments
Using scripting and modelling tools to improve efficiency and data quality
Supporting field teams through spatial data preparation and mobile GIS solutions
Collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams across the business
We’re looking for an experienced GIS professional who can hit the ground running.
You’ll bring:
A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Geospatial Science, Environmental Science, Ecology, Geoscience or a related discipline
At least 3 years’ relevant postgraduate professional experience
Strong professional experience using QGIS and ArcGIS Pro for spatial data management, analysis, editing and mapping
Demonstrated experience undertaking spatial analysis and producing high-quality mapping products
Experience working with spatial databases and geodatabases
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail
The ability to interpret and accurately visualise scientific and environmental data
Experience working collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders
The ability to work to client-specific mapping and spatial data standards
Strong knowledge of spatial data querying and expressions
Desirable
Experience with remote sensing, drone imagery, LiDAR or satellite data will be highly regarded.
Experience in environmental consulting, mining, rehabilitation or geoscience, particularly within Western Australia, will also be highly regarded. Knowledge of WA environmental settings, including the Pilbara or Goldfields, is desirable.
