The Group Travel Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing group travel programs and incentives, including sourcing destinations, negotiating with suppliers, and securing competitive group rates. Day-to-day tasks include organizing travel arrangements such as flights, accommodation, transfers, and on-the-ground logistics, while ensuring all details align with client requirements and budget. The role involves direct communication with clients and delegates, providing high-quality customer service, handling inquiries, and resolving issues promptly. The Group Travel Manager will also collaborate with internal teams to contribute to proposals, and assist with sales activities to grow the group travel portfolio.Qualifications Strong Communication skills, including clear written and verbal interaction with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.Experience in Travel Management, with the ability to coordinate complex group itineraries and oversee end-to-end travel programs.Proficiency in organising Travel Arrangements such as flights, accommodation, transfers, and on-site logistics for groups.Demonstrated Customer Service skills, with a focus on responsiveness, problem-solving, and delivering memorable experiences.Experience in group travel, events, or incentive programs; prior work in an agency or corporate travel environment is highly regarded.Strong organisational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and comfort managing multiple projects simultaneously.Proficiency with GDS booking tools, Events AIR, and standard office software; willingness to learn new platforms as needed.Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site collaboration in Sydney, NSW with independent work from home.Relevant qualifications in travel, tourism, events, or a related field are advantageous.
