Belt Splicers and Rubber Liners

REMA TIP TOP is seeking experienced Belt Splicers and Rubber Liners to join our supportive and growing team across various sites on different rosters in WA.

Duties and tasks - Belt Splicers:

• Handling conveyor belt systems and associated components such as roller frames, skirting systems and belt cleaner systems, conveyor belt tracking units, and chutes
• Operating conveyor vulcanizing and belt handling equipment
• Installing, change outs, and refurbishment of rollers and roller frames
• Handling steel cord, fabric and/or woven belts
• Applying knowledge of skirting systems and conveyor structures
• Uphold excellent communication skills, commitment to safety, self-motivation, and strong work ethics

Duties and tasks - Rubber Liners:

• Surface preparation of different lining/coating systems - soft rubber lining systems, hard rubber lining systems, composite systems, polyurea and polyurethane systems
• Surface preparation of different lining / coating surfaces - steel & concrete surfaces)
• Application of relevant primer & adhesive systems
• Application of different lining / coating systems in accordance to manufacturer and/or client standard
• Reading of technical drawings
• Reading and adherence to job card & QC guidelines
• Lay out & cutting of different lining systems
• Operating relevant hand / power tools within safety specifications

Job requirements for both positions:

• Current Drivers Licence
• Confined Spaces ticket, Working at Heights ticket, and Gas Test Atmospheres ticket
• Belt Splicing/Polymer Processing Certificate (desirable)
• Rubber Lining and Belt Splicing experience
• High Risk Work Licence including Forklift, EWP, Dogging, Rigging etc. (desirable)
