People & Culture Officer (New Position)
Full-time, 38 hours a week
This is an Aboriginal Designated Position, classified under 'special measures' of Section 12 of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010. Only Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are eligible to apply.
About the Role
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the coordination of the end-to-end recruitment cycle, general administration, providing timely assistance to our internal stakeholders and assisting the People and Culture team with key initiatives.
About You
To be successful for this position, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:
You are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or similar or working towards the qualification.
Proven experience in providing general administrative support.
Highly developed oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook; knowledge of CHRIS21 is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to understand awards, employment, OH&S legislation, Human Resources functions, guidelines and policies.
Demonstrated experience in writing and creating job advertisements, interview and selection process.
Professional, ethical and reliability with a high level of self-motivation and initiative.
Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude.
Demonstrated ability maintaining confidentiality.
Experience in working in an Aboriginal organisation and/ or knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and history.
What We Offer:
Salary packaging of $15,900 available for Part- or Full-time employees.
Competitive pay and conditions based on the ACCHS Award, Grade 4 (based on qualifications and experience).
