SCT Logistics are currently seeking an experienced MC / B Double Truck Drivers to join our fleet team based in our Altona facility on the day shift.

Duties include however are not limited to the following:

• Delivery and pickups of general freight in and around Melbourne metropolitan areas, with occasional regional work

• Travelling to various customers sites and preparing trucks to be unloaded/loaded (use of ratchet straps/opening curtains or gates, adjust mezzanine floors when required

• Effective time management to ensure timeslots are met.

• Securing and restraining loads in a safe manner as per operational requirements. In line with company standards and government regulations

• Performing vehicle pre-start checks. Reporting any defects / safety concerns to supervisor
• Fill out Drivers Daily Worksheets, pallet details, amendments, fatigue breaks or additions.

• Perform general housekeeping of the Prime Movers, Trailers & SCT & Customers premises.

• Achieve impeccable safe driving record.

• Ensure all paperwork is handed in daily, any returned stock is accompanied by relevant paperwork. Compliance within MT DATA application.

• Comply with all site requirements and such other matters as may be directed by the company.

• Notify the supervisor of issues along your journey and at any destinations.

• Provide flexibility to respond to business needs at short notice.

• Perform Impeccable customer service,

To be considered successful for these positions, the desired candidates will obtain the below skills and experience:

• Current MC drivers’ licence
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position
• Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol screening.
• Ability to operation single and b-double trailers
• Ability to operate a prime mover and trailer sets.
• Impeccable safe driving record to be provided.
• Good communication skills
• Good time management skills
• Positive and can-do attitude.
• Understanding of COR.
