Field Service Mechanic

SD Mechanical Solutions is looking for an experienced Field Service Mechanic to join our team servicing customers throughout Perth and the Wheatbelt.

This is a Monday to Friday position, with overtime available. The work is varied and will mainly involve CAT machinery, along with other major brands.

About the role

The position will involve a range of field service and workshop-based mechanical work, including:

• Mechanical repairs and servicing

• Fault finding and diagnostics

• Component repairs and replacements

• Machine rebuilds

• Breakdown and field service work

• Preventative maintenance

• Completing service reports and job documentation

• Working on customer sites across Perth and the Wheatbelt

You'll be working as part of a small team, with direct communication with the owner and a flexible approach to getting the work done.

What we're looking for

• Australian-recognised Heavy Diesel / Mobile Plant trade qualification

• Experience working on heavy mobile equipment

• Good mechanical diagnostic and fault-finding skills

• CAT experience essential

• Experience with other major equipment brands

• Current Australian driver's licence

• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team

• Good standard of workmanship and safety awareness

• No minimum trade experience required to apply
