Respiratory Scientist

Coastal Respiratory & Sleep is a specialist respiratory and sleep medicine practice with clinics in Benowa, Tugun and Pimpama. We're looking for a respiratory scientist to run lung function testing and home sleep study set-ups at our Benowa clinic on a part-time basis.

• Lung function testing for patients referred by our physicians and external doctors
• Fitting and instructing patients for home sleep studies
• Reporting results and filing them to the patient's electronic record
• Daily calibration and quality control, and keeping equipment clean and infection-safe
• Sorting out equipment and software issues when they come up
• Keeping the lab stocked and handling the paperwork that goes with it
• Working closely with our physicians, reception team and patients, with confidentiality a given

• Previous experience in respiratory or sleep testing is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Comfortable with computers and clinical software
• Warm with patients and able to put people at ease quickly
• Happy to adapt as the day changes

• Hourly rate dependent on qualifications and experience
• Annual and personal leave in line with the applicable award, pro rata

• Ongoing part-time position
• Every Friday plus alternate Thursdays, day shifts, based in Benowa
• Additional hours are likely to open up as our service grows
