ABOUT ADHD WA

ADHD WA is a community-based not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting children, adolescents, adults and families impacted by ADHD. Through education, support, assessment and therapeutic services, ADHD WA works to improve access to information, build individual capability and strengthen community understanding of ADHD.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

We welcome applications from psychologists with a minimum of 5 years’ experience, particularly those with an interest in ADHD. 

We are seeking a psychologist to support the delivery of ADHD information and psychological support services directly into low socioeconomic communities across Perth's North, East and South metropolitan areas. Services are embedded within trusted community partner organisations already working with families where children are experiencing attention difficulties and are failing to thrive at school.

The model is designed to be accessible, stigma-reducing and community-centred. It is not a therapy service — it delivers evidence-informed information, practical support, structured group programs and professional development to families and partner staff.

This role will contribute to improved mental health outcomes, increased social and community participation, enhanced individual capacity, and greater long-term wellbeing for participants. Through early intervention, evidence-based therapeutic support, and collaborative care, the role will support the achievement of the project's objectives and deliver measurable positive outcomes for individuals and the broader community.

The role/s will include, but is not limited to the following:

• Co-facilitate ADHD information and support groups for children, adolescents and families.

• Deliver psychoeducation and structured program content using approved resources and workbooks.

• Support participant engagement and contribute to a safe, welcoming and inclusive group environment.

• Assist with program preparation, resource management and session documentation.

• Respond appropriately to participant enquiries and refer matters requiring clinical escalation.

• Support ongoing evaluation and improvement of group programs.

• Contribute to outreach activities and community engagement initiatives.

• Provide support during periods for the Services Lead role during periods of leave

ABOUT YOU

We are seeking a clinician who is both clinically strong and ready.

You will:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience.

• Have APHRA registration.

• Have a genuine interest in ADHD and neurodevelopmental presentations.
