Cyber Security Analyst - 3rd party

The Third-Party Cyber Risk Analyst role is central to strengthening how EQT assesses, manages and monitors cyber risk across its supplier and third-party ecosystem. The majority of the role is focused on third-party cyber risk, including supplier assurance, cyber due diligence, control assessments, remediation tracking, evidence management and ongoing monitoring activities. A significant focus of the role is assessing and monitoring cyber risk across EQT's external service provider ecosystem, including fund managers, custodians, administrators and other material service providers. Working closely with the Cyber Security Lead, Risk, Technology, Legal and business stakeholders, you'll help ensure third parties meet the security expectations necessary to protect EQT's systems, data, clients and services. The role works in partnership with business owners who manage supplier relationships, providing specialist cyber risk expertise, assurance and oversight throughout the supplier lifecycle. Your work will have genuine impact, from reviewing third-party controls and supporting risk-based decisions through to maintaining ongoing visibility of cyber risk, influencing remediation activities and driving measurable risk reduction across EQT's broader third-party ecosystem.
 
What you'll do:

• Lead and support third-party cyber security assessments, including supplier due diligence, control reviews, risk profiling, evidence requests and security questionnaires
• Coordinate remediation activity for supplier cyber risks, working with vendors, business owners and internal technology teams to track actions through to closure
• Maintain third-party cyber risk records, assessment outcomes, evidence registers, reporting and documentation to support audits, regulatory reviews and governance forums
• Contribute to ongoing supplier monitoring by reviewing changes in risk posture, security events, vulnerability exposure, compliance evidence and control effectiveness
• Support broader cyber security operations where required, including alert triage, incident response evidence gathering, vulnerability management and identity-related security activities
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Modern Workplace, Application Support, Procurement, Legal, business stakeholders and Technology Risk Governance teams to embed practical third-party cyber security controls and continuous improvement

 What you'll need to succeed:

• Experience supporting third-party cyber risk management, supplier assurance, cyber due diligence, technology risk, audit, governance or compliance activities
• Practical understanding of cyber security controls across identity, endpoint, cloud, applications, data protection, vulnerability management and security operations
• Confidence reviewing supplier security information, identifying gaps, assessing risk, documenting outcomes and following up remediation actions with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain cyber security risks clearly to technical, non-technical and supplier audiences
• Experience using or interpreting outputs from security platforms such as Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, Rapid7, vulnerability management platforms, SIEM technologies or managed SOC services is highly regarded
• Experience with identity and access management controls, including Entra ID, Privileged Identity Management, Conditional Access, privileged access governance or least privilege models, is beneficial
• A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Technology Risk or a related field, or equivalent industry experience; relevant certifications such as SC-200, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, CRISC or equivalent are highly regarded
