Paralegal (Part-Time)

We're hiring paralegals across multiple teams:

• Enquiries Team

• Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA)

• Workers Compensation (WC) and Work Injury Damages (WID)

• Public Liability (PL)

• Total and Permanent Disability (TPD)

You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with our lawyers, helping injured clients get the support they need. Along the way, you'll sharpen your drafting, build sound legal judgment, and learn what a successful team in a law firm looks like.

The role is a minimum of 3 days per week, with 2 days being from home.

What you'll do - depending on the team you join

• Assess new enquiries – Identify if claims have reasonable prospects of success across workers' compensation, motor vehicle accident (MVA) claims, total and permanent disability (TPD) claims, public liability, and medical negligence.

• Learn what makes a case viable – Gain key legal insights and sharpen your judgment.

• Engage with real stories daily – Speak with clients at pivotal moments in their lives.

• Summarise key information – Write clearly and concisely to document cases.

• Onboard new clients – Sign up clients over the phone using intuitive legal software.

• Ensure a smooth transition – Work with management to allocate cases efficiently.

• Draft documents - letters, statements, submissions, claim forms.

• Communicate with clients, insurers, barristers, and super funds to keep matters moving.

• Develop judgment on claim viability and case strategy.

• Receive direct, specific constructive feedback to lift your work.

Who you are

• A paralegal or junior legal professional looking to build real skills. Prior experience not required.

• A strong writer - can summarise dense material into clear, plain English and draft letters, file notes, and submissions that don't need heavy editing.

• A critical thinker who can quickly identify key details, ask the right questions, and apply sound judgment with guidance.

• A clear, concise communicator in writing and on the phone.

• Organised, detail-focused, keeps matters on track.

• Tech-savvy and comfortable in a fully digital firm.
