About the role
Position Title: Operations Manager
Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer
About Good Directions: Serving over 120 NDIS participants, claiming over $60mil yearly in supports. In this time of industry change, Good Directions is uniquely positioned to capitalise on its ability to service all Australian states (excl. WA and NT), and is seeking skilled managers who are eager to oversee the provision of active supports that transform the life of the people we support.
As Operations Manager, you will lead and expand Good Directions’ disability support services. You’ll combine strategic business development with hands-on service delivery to ensure participants and their families have increasing control, safety, and choice in their daily supports. We are seeking two leaders who will take on end to end ownership of the participant experience, actively acquire new participant sign-ups and coach local site services to ensure participant satisfaction and service compliance.

QLD: Experiencing rapid growth over the past few years and seeking a person willing to travel within the state to meet with existing and new participants, ensuring service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
· Establish new service sites: identify premises, secure resourcing and coordinate onboarding
· Design, implement and grow SIL, SDA and day-to-day support offerings
· Oversee management of supports to participants, incl. specialist support coordination (as req.)
· Prepare and review SIL quotes, NDIS plan-review reports and AAT submissions
· Advocate for sustainable, high-quality services and negotiate on behalf of participants
· Ensure full compliance with relevant regulations, including protecting participants and Good Directions with regards to financial, legal, and operational matters.
· Maintain budgets, bookkeeping and small-business administration
· Build and maintain networks across housing, life planning, allied health and community sectors
· Monitor performance metrics, drive continuous improvement and report to leadership
· Work directly with IT contractors to explore new tech and change existing tech to automate and improve it

· Proven communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills
· Strong business development and operational management background
· Exceptional attention to detail in complex regulatory environments
· Ability to problem-solve with a visionary outlook and draw on external expertise when needed
· Integrity, resilience and adaptability in fast-changing contexts
Work Arrangement: Hybrid work from home (home office setup provided) with travel to participants as required, to our Sydney office 3 days/week (NSW employees) and to team events (2-3 per annum, rotating location NSW/VIC/SA/QLD).
Supports: Peer support, professional development and team-based training.
Remuneration: Full time position, attractive salary package of $140k+super+travel/home office allowance+annual professional fees/training allowance - subject to experience and qualifications.
To be considered for this position you must have:
· A reference detailing how you advocated/assisted people with disabilities
· 10+ years of Operations management experience in an enterprise environment
· Degree qualified, with a proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
· Experience managing people, including geographically dispersed teams
· Strong problem structuring and solving skills and ability to deal with ambiguity
· Experience in client management, sales, bookkeeping, small business planning, human resources, events, life planning, housing, budgeting, networking and innovation
· Driver’s licence and motor vehicle
Supplementary Pay: Organisational performance bonus (paid before Christmas) + Individual KPI performance bonus (paid in July).
