At W Melbourne, we are looking for a passionate and talented Pastry Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team on a fixed-term full-time contract covering maternity leave through to August 2027, with potential future permanent opportunities across the Marriott International network.

What We Expect of You

• Valid Australian Working Rights is essential. Sponsorship will not be offered for this role.
• A passion for culinary artistry and a desire to innovate in the pastry kitchen.
• Background in upscale & fast-paced pastry kitchen is advantageous.
• A proactive and upbeat demeanor that inspires excellence.
• Keen to take on new challenges and grow within your career.
• Qualifications in Patisserie III and IV or equivalent are preferred.
• Embody a polished professionalism with an audacious approach to creativity; and a playful individual who is passionate in creating memorable guest experiences.
   

A Glance at What You Will Do

• The fixed-term position will be from your start date until August 2027.
• Manage team performance and standard, and supervise kitchen sections.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist. Prepare cold foods. Prepare special meals or substitute items. 
• Monitor the quality and quantity of food that is prepared, and ensure the quality of the food items. 
• Communicate assistance needed during busy periods.
• Conduct trainings for others.
