Experienced Chef for Cafe

Rise & Bake is a modern café with European flair, loved by locals and visitors alike. Our menu boasts plenty of choices, all made in house, with love. A rare opportunity to join our dedicated teams in Smithfield and Cairns Central has become available now. Work across both our shops and support our great team.

We are looking to fill this position long term, please do not apply if you are looking for 88 day approval 

Here`s what we want:

• At least 2 years full time experience at a café or restaurant as a chef de partie or similar

• Experience in fast paced environments, able to multitask at ease

• Calm and supportive work style

• A hands on approach, you need to be able to work well by yourself, as well as part of the team

• Stock Ordering / cost control

• Permanent quality control

• Positive Can-Do attitude

• Experience in patisserie and baking

• Someone who wants to master the challenge of making authentic crepes (training provided)

• A well groomed person with knowledge of current food trends

• Available to work some weekends

Here`s what we offer:

• Part time position, 25 to 35hrs/week, hourly rate

• Work / Life balance – daytime hours only, our kitchen is open from 8am-3pm everyday
