Role Overview:

As Maintenance Manager, you will oversee facilities and building maintenance, ensuring UniLodge meets all codes, regulations, and service standards while maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents and visitors.

Key Responsibilities include:

Manage the overall maintenance of apartments, commons areas, and building exteriors, ensuring the highest standards of maintenance, safety and security
Establish and implement preventative maintenance programs, ensuring compliance and company health and safety procedures, as well as industry and statutory regulations
Record, report and assist the General Manager in managing all building defects
Assist in the development and management of maintenance budgets
Manage external contractors, ensuring timely progress and providing updates to the General Manager.

Note: Additional hours may be required for urgent works, modification and emergency call-outs.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of 3 years experience in general property and grounds maintenance and repairs. You will also possess a 'safety-first' mindset, and an understanding of basic OH&S principles and chemical handling. More about you:

Unrestricted working rights in Australia
Confident computer skills including ability to use various systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Trade qualification will be highly regarded
Valid Class C Drivers Licence and reliable vehicle
QLD Working with Children's Check (Blue Card)
Valid National Police Check
