About the role
Principal Field Services Engineer Play a key role in supporting and modernising one of Australia's largest mission-critical communications networks. As a Principal Field Services Engineer, you will provide specialist field engineering expertise to support the performance, availability and resilience of the Public Safety Network (PSN), ensuring reliable communications for emergency services across NSW. You will be responsible for testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintaining and modernising telecommunications infrastructure while providing operational and project delivery activities This role sits within the Site Solution Engineering Team in the NSW Telco Authority. The team is responsible for supporting the delivery, operation and continuous improvement of critical telecommunications infrastructure across NSW. Working closely with engineering, project and operational teams, the team provides specialist field engineering expertise to ensure the Public Safety Network remains reliable, resilient and fit for purpose in supporting emergency services and public safety outcomes. Salary range: $154,231-178,369 + superannuation and leave loading
Duration: permanent full-time role, ongoing
Location: Hybrid with an in-office requirement in Sydney McKell offices on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and travelling across NSW attending PSN sites. This may be subject to change in line with DCS workplace policies

To be successful in this role you will have
Possession of, or ability to obtain, a White Card, RF EME Awareness, CPR and First Aid qualifications, 4WD certification and a full unrestricted Driver Licence.
