Regulatory Reporting & Data Quality Management Manager | Bank of China Sydney
 
Bank of China is seeking an energetic and highly motivated Regulatory Reporting & Data Quality Management Manager to join the Sydney Office.
 
This is a Two Year Term Contract, with strong potential to convert to an ongoing role upon successful completion.
 
Responsibilities:
 

• Lead the production, review and compliance of regulatory reporting, backed by robust internal controls
• Design, implement, and test control frameworks (preventative, detective, and operational effectiveness) across the reporting lifecycle
• Define and manage Critical Data Elements (CDEs), data quality metrics, and exception resolution through root-cause analysis
• Establish end-to-end data lineage from source systems to outputs to ensure full traceability for audits and reviews
• Collaborate with Business and Tech teams to integrate data governance and control requirements into system logic and change initiatives
• Direct audit engagements, regulatory inquiries, and submissions by providing clear process documentation and control evidence

 
To be considered, possessing following skills and experience are essential: 
 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Significant experience delivering regulatory data or reporting solutions within financial services
• Experience conducting internal control assessments over data and reporting processes
• Strong data, finance and accounting competency with knowledge and understanding of accounting transactions, data flows, finance systems and financial statement relationships
• Proven ability to interpret and analyse large complex data sources with minimal corrections and effective use of analytic techniques
• Fluent in English and Mandarin
• Candidates with audit experience (internal or external) would be an advantage 
• SQL and/or Python skills to support data validation, lineage analysis, and issue investigation will be highly regarded
