AWCON is a rapidly growing Australian civil construction contractor delivering major projects across mining, energy, infrastructure and heavy industry. We're looking for a Recruitment Coordinator who loves people, enjoys making things happen and wants to build a career in Recruitment, Talent Acquisition or HR. 

This is more than a recruitment administration role. You'll work alongside experienced Talent professionals, hiring managers and leaders across AWCON, gaining genuine exposure to the people, projects and workforce behind a rapidly scaling construction business. 

THE OPPORTUNITY 

You'll support recruitment across our corporate, project and operational teams, with exposure to the full recruitment lifecycle including: 

• Supporting role briefs and recruitment requirements 

• Advertising roles across SEEK, LinkedIn and other platforms 

• Sourcing candidates and building talent pipelines 

• Screening applications and conducting initial phone interviews 

• Coordinating interviews and candidate communications 

• Supporting offers, pre-employment and onboarding 

• Maintaining recruitment data and reporting 

• Supporting employer branding, talent projects and process improvement 

And as you grow, so will your responsibilities. 

We're not looking for someone who simply wants to follow a process. We're looking for someone who is curious, proactive and entrepreneurial — someone who sees an opportunity to improve something and wants to help build it. 

ABOUT YOU 

You might be an early-career recruiter, agency recruiter looking to move in-house, HR/People Coordinator, administrator or someone from a customer-facing role looking to turn your natural people skills into a career. 

You'll bring: 

• Genuine interest in people and recruitment 

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills 

• Great organisation and attention to detail 

• Confidence picking up the phone and talking to people 

• A proactive, positive can-do attitude 

• Curiosity and a genuine willingness to learn 

• The ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment 

• Ambition to build a long-term career in Talent or HR 

We can teach you recruitment. What we can't teach is curiosity, initiative, energy and a genuine interest in people. 

Experience in construction, mining, engineering or infrastructure recruitment is highly regarded, but not essential.
