Noggin is a leader in integrated resilience management technology, offering a next-generation, cloud-based platform that combines 10 essential solutions into one unified system. Our award-winning platform seamlessly integrates operational and third-party risk management, operational resilience, business continuity, incident and crisis management, emergency management, and security and safety operations. The Product Engineering area is responsible for designing, writing, testing and deploying the code for our software products at Noggin.
The area consists of front-end only developers, backend-only developers, full-stack developers, test automation developers, and quality analysts. Developers and analysts are grouped into sprint teams of about 5 people, which focus on different aspects of the product. We run an Agile methodology and have adopted best practice processes and frameworks to ensure that the product is high-performing, secure and scalable.
Job Description The purpose of this role is to apply software engineering skills and experience to plan, design, build, deploy, support, and maintain our software products and services. Level 4 Senior Engineers have the technical skills to take an initiative from start to finish on their own.
They can conceptualise and work on complex multipart systems and break them down in to simple components for others. They can effectively phase tasks to reduce risk and pre-empt service and upgrade interdependencies to minimise disruption. They can triage and diagnose the most complex of operational problems.
Key Responsibilities:
Education and Qualifications Essential: Tertiary degree in software development (or similar) or at least 6 years commercial (paid) software engineering experience Experience and Skills Essential: 5+ years commercial experience using the technologies required to be used in the product and/or team. E.g., Typescript, Angular, NodeJS, and PHP as appropriate. It will also be beneficial (not mandatory) if you have: Personal Attributes Advanced skills in the technologies required to the assigned product/team Knowledge of web-related technologies and protocols
Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies Can articulate a point of view on technologies Knowledge on high-availability and distributed systems concepts Title: Senior Software Engineer Location: Brisbane Role Type: Full Time / Hybrid role Salary: $130,000 to $148,000
