Description
The Senior Consultant for Novigi Next Gen is a market-facing role created to build depth and pace behind the Strategy & Market Development agenda. This role is responsible for defining and codifying Novigi’s value propositions and market offerings with the Service Lines under TOM 4, ensuring every offering Novigi takes to market carries a clear client issue statement, a go-to-market narrative, market sizing, offering detail, and a delivery framework behind it.
The Senior Consultant leads through convening, drafting, and aligning across Service Line leaders (EGM/GM level), working alongside the Strategy & Market Development Lead to turn Service Line expertise into repeatable, client-ready propositions, playbooks, and collateral that Growth and Client Partner teams can take directly to target accounts and existing clients.
This role sits at the centre of a network of leaders, where ability to influence and collaborate with EGM/GM level is crucial – credibility comes from preparation, clarity, and the ability to hold a room of senior people to a decision, and the work moves at the pace of the market, so adaptability is a core requirement rather than a desirable trait.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the definition and refinement of Novigi’s value propositions and market offerings with he Service Lines under TOM 4, working directly with Service Line leaders and SMEs to co-develop offerings that are commercially credible, client-facing, and market-tested.
- Convene and facilitate the working sessions that produce them, holding the definition standard so that every offering carries a client issue statement, GTM narrative, market sizing, offering detail, and delivery framework before it is considered complete.
- Build out the next level of detail and supporting narrative for refined value propositions and market offerings, including the Transformation Service Line where scope is still being settled.
- Run the feedback loop from Service Lines and from the market so propositions stay current and ensure definitions land where they are used (e.g. in PRISM, in BMC content, on the Next Gen Teams Site, and in the material Growth and Client Partners take to clients).
- Lead the codification of prioritised market offerings into standardised playbooks, frameworks, and methodologies, collaborating with Service Lines and delivery teams to draw on what has already been proven with clients.
- Convert completed engagements into evidence (i.e. case studies, delivery blueprints, evidence packs, and risk/complexity profiles) that shorten the next pursuit.
- Maintain the library of GTM collateral, case studies, and client engagement assets so that responses to opportunities are assembled from proven material rather than written from scratch each time.
- Track codification progress against agreed targets and escalate to the Strategy & Market Development Lead where Service Line input is the constraint.
- Draft proposition and offering content, executive-ready narrative, and supporting decks for both internal and client-facing use.
- Coordinate the weekly Strategy & Market Development update, tracking progress across the five focus areas and surfacing where support is needed.
- Maintain the Next Gen Teams site and the proposition and offering repositories as the single source of truth for the function.
- Work with BMC to keep narrative consistent across channels, including the website, LinkedIn, The Quarterly, events, and PRISM
- Novigi PRISM (Enterprise app for strategic intelligence and market planning)
- Support the Strategy & Market Development Lead, who owns PRISM, by keeping value proposition and market offering content within the platform current so the client issues, talking points, and insights it generates remain accurate.
- Support adoption and enablement across Growth, Client Partner, and client delivery teams through one-on-one sessions, onboarding, and follow-up on feature requests raised through the PRISM kanban on Jira.
- Contribute to Phase 2 design and prioritisation sessions as a subject matter input and support Superuser testing and coaching alongside the Data & Technology team.
- Identify ways to improve how propositions and offerings are surfaced to users and execute on these, so the insights generated by PRISM are fit for purpose to all user roles (Growth, Client Partner, and client delivery teams)
- Run external market research, horizon scanning, and competitor analysis across the core FSI sectors (i.e. Superannuation & Wealth, Banking & Capital Markets, and Insurance), synthesising regulatory shifts, technology movements, and competitor activity into briefs the Strategy & Market Development Lead can act on.
- Support market development research for expansion into other geographies, including but not limited to NZ, UK, the US, and other APAC markets.
- Contribute to client pursuits and solution shaping alongside Growth, Client Partner, and Client Solutions teams, particularly where a proposition is being tested with a client for the first time and contribute to thought leadership output including The Quarterly and industry forums.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 4+ years in strategy, market development, proposition management, product marketing, or consulting, ideally within professional services, management consulting, or financial services.
- Demonstrated experience defining or commercialising value propositions, market offerings, or products, including the written narrative and supporting collateral that goes with them.
- Strong executive presence to hold a credible conversation with a Service Line lead, challenge a weak proposition, and know when to bring in a SME.
- Strong facilitation and synthesis skills, with a track record of convening senior stakeholders and converting an unstructured discussion into a decision and a document.
- Exceptional written communication, with the ability to move between an executive one-pager, a client-facing narrative, and a detailed delivery framework.
- Client-facing experience in advisory or consulting roles, with demonstrated ability to work with senior executives without direct authority over them
- Experience in Financial Services (Superannuation, Wealth Management, Banking, Insurance) with an understanding of regulatory drivers, industry dynamics, and client procurement behaviour is desirable
While client-facing contribution is not a core delivery accountability and this role is not a billable role as standard, it is an inferred performance expectation that keeps the role grounded in what clients actually buy and builds the practitioner credibility that strategy conversations demand.
