The Role:

Working from our facility in Edinburgh, we are looking for an exceptional boilermaker/welder with fabrication and welding experience. This role is pivotal in producing high quality work for a range of industries, including mining and defence, so requires attention to detail and ability to interpret drawings and work with tight tolerances.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Performing welding in predominantly flat, vertical and horizontal positions.

·         Review detailed drawings and specifications to determine job requirements.

·         Processing of materials using hand tools, electrical tools, fixed plant and thermal cutting methods.

·         Inspecting work products for any defects, and the ability to make necessary corrections.

·         Troubleshoot and diagnose solutions. 

·         Work to health, safety and environmental standards.

Skills and Qualification Requirements:

·         Trade qualified – Cert III in Engineering - Fabrication or relevant trade qualification

·         Tank manufacture experience beneficial

·         Able to use FCAW, with experience in GTAW, GMAW, MMAW desirable

·         Able to pass weld test to AS/NZS 1554.1

·         Able to read and work to detailed Welding Procedure Specification
