Business Development Manager

No 1 Roofing & Building Supplies is one of the largest manufacturers and wholesale suppliers of metal roofing and building products, servicing Sydney, Central Coast, Hunter, and Mid North Coast regions. We’ve been servicing the Building and Construction industry since 1990, allowing us to build strong and valued relationships with our customers and the most trusted brands in the Australian Building industry.

We’re looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team on a full-time basis, working Monday to Friday. This is a newly created role in our Business Development team and is essential to achieving our continued growth and business goals in the region.

Reporting to the regional manager this role will cover the below regions:

Newcastle & Hunter

Central West

Central Coast

Mid North Coast 

The role will be focused on:

• Developing and maintaining growth strategies and plans

• Meeting and exceeding sales and profitability targets

• Managing and retaining relationships with existing clients, and increasing client base

• Developing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of industry trends, business products and value proposition

• Writing successful business proposals

• Negotiating with stakeholders to ensure beneficial terms are agreed

• Identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs

• Researching business opportunities and viable income streams

• Drafting and reviewing contracts

• Report and quotation preparation

About you:

You’re ready to take the next step in your sales career. You’ve got knowledge of the construction and/or roofing industry and experience in working to and exceeding targets. Working with clients and stakeholders is a strength of yours and you pride yourself on delivering an exceptional customer experience.

A drivers licence and the ability to Travel across the Hunter region is essential to performing this role.
