Koorana has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical or Registered Psychologist to join our Early Intervention & Allied Health team on a permanent part-time or full-time basis.

Working alongside other Psychologists, Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Specialist Teachers, you will support children and young people with developmental delay and disability through evidence-informed, strengths-based and neuroaffirming practice. Guided by the National Best Practice Framework for Early Childhood Intervention, we work collaboratively with children, families and communities to build meaningful outcomes and participation in everyday life.

The Role

As a Psychologist, you’ll provide assessment, intervention and consultation supports to children and young people aged 0-18 years and their families. While some of your work will be clinic-based, you’ll also have opportunities to work across homes, education settings, community environments and via telehealth, allowing you to see children in the contexts that matter most to them.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological assessments, including cognitive, behavioural, emotional and developmental assessments.
• Administer, interpret and report on standardised assessments including the WPPSI, WISC and WIAT, with opportunities to expand assessment offerings as the psychology service continues to grow.
• Deliver evidence-informed interventions and supports to children, young people and their families.
• Partner with families, educators and other professionals to support participation, wellbeing and development.
• Collaborate with allied health professionals and external stakeholders to achieve meaningful outcomes.
• Maintain contemporary professional knowledge informed by current evidence and best practice.
• Develop and manage a clinical caseload with support from experienced clinicians, leaders and administrative systems.
• Maintain high-quality clinical documentation and professional standards.
• Contribute to broader service initiatives, including parent and professional learning workshops, student supervision and projects aligned with your interests and expertise.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for caring and dedicated clinicians who are passionate about supporting children and families and who value learning, collaboration and innovation.

You will have:

• A recognised qualification in Psychology.
• Current General or Clinical Registration with AHPRA.
• Experience working with children and young people, particularly those with developmental delay, disability or neurodevelopmental differences.
• Strong assessment, formulation and report-writing skills.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• A commitment to evidence-informed, strengths-based and neuroaffirming practice.
• A collaborative approach and willingness to work as part of a transdisciplinary team.
• A commitment to inclusive and culturally responsive practice.
