About the role

Everstin Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated and professional Truck Driver to join our Road Transport operations team. This is a full-time position based in Jacobs Well, QLD 4208. As a Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in our logistics operations, ensuring safe and timely delivery of goods across various routes. Your commitment to safety, reliability and customer service will directly contribute to the success of our business and our reputation in the transport industry.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain heavy vehicles, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and road safety regulations

• Plan and execute efficient delivery routes to meet customer expectations and company schedules

• Conduct pre and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs

• Load, unload and secure cargo safely and appropriately, ensuring goods are protected during transit

• Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery records and documentation in accordance with transport regulations

• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers and management regarding delivery updates and any issues encountered

• Adhere to hours of work regulations and safety protocols at all times

• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients and recipients

• Maintain cleanliness and professional appearance of vehicle at all times

What we're looking for

• Valid Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) driver's licence appropriate for the role, with a clean driving record

• Proven experience as a truck driver in the road transport industry

• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations, weight and dimension requirements, and fatigue management laws

• Excellent vehicle maintenance awareness and ability to identify mechanical issues

• Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

• Reliable, punctual and professional attitude towards work

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Current First Aid Certificate (preferred)

• Ability to lift and carry heavy items and work in varying weather conditions
