Reliability Engineer

Ravenswood Gold is seeking an experienced and driven Reliability Engineer to play a critical role in maximising the performance, availability, and longevity of our processing plant assets. Working closely with maintenance, operations, and technical teams, you will lead reliability improvement initiatives, optimise maintenance strategies, and drive asset performance across our gold processing operations.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Planning & Reliability Superintendent, you will be responsible for monitoring, reviewing, and continuously improving asset management strategies across a diverse fixed plant environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Analysing plant performance data and preparing reliability reports with actionable recommendations.
• Monitoring key reliability metrics such as availability, downtime, MTBF, and MTTR.
• Reviewing condition monitoring data, including vibration analysis and oil sampling results, and recommending corrective actions.
• Conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations to identify failure modes and prevent reoccurrence.
• Liaising with OEMs, vendors, technical specialists, and consultants to resolve equipment performance issues.
• Facilitating FMECA workshops and developing robust maintenance strategies for critical assets.
• Leading Preventative Maintenance Optimisation (PMO) initiatives to improve maintenance effectiveness.
• Identifying, championing, and delivering continuous improvement projects from concept through to implementation.
• Supporting maintenance and operational teams with technical expertise to enhance plant performance and reliability.
• Ensuring compliance with site safety standards and Queensland mining legislation.

About You:

You are a safety-focused and solutions-driven engineer who thrives on improving equipment performance and reducing maintenance costs through strategic reliability initiatives.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a reliability, maintenance, or engineering role within mining, mineral processing, or heavy industry.
• Demonstrated experience applying reliability methodologies including RCM, FMECA, RCA, criticality analysis, and defect elimination.
• Strong experience using CMMS platforms for maintenance and asset management analysis (Pronto experience highly regarded).
• Sound understanding of Queensland mining safety and health legislation.
• Experience within fixed plant processing environments, including crushing, grinding, and CIL/CIP circuits.
• Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar reporting tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A current Queensland driver’s licence.
• A passion for continuous improvement and delivering measurable business outcomes.
